About Hotel Brindavan – Hotels & Resorts in Bengaluru
Kempa Gowda Road is always full of people, no matter what time it is. Our place is over at Mahatma Society, Road No 19 32/2. It’s an old building, and you can tell by looking at the walls and the way the stairs feel when you walk up them. We’ve been here for a long time, so things aren't exactly new or shiny. I spend most of my day in the dining area or helping out near the front. People come in for a quick meal because they are catching a bus or working nearby. The fans on the ceiling hum pretty loud when it’s hot outside. We serve a lot of rice and sambar, and the plates are those heavy stainless steel ones that last forever. It’s not the kind of place where you sit for hours. You eat, pay your bill at the little wooden counter, and move on. The windows look out onto the street, so you can see the buses going by. Sometimes the traffic is so backed up that the drivers lean on their horns, and we can hear it all inside. We keep the floors swept, but with so many people walking in from the dusty road, it’s a constant job. The kitchen is always hot. We keep the big pots of tea going from early morning until we close up at night. It's just a regular spot on a very busy road.
