Hi-Tech Tools

I've been working at Hi-Tech Tools for a while now. We are located at No. 5, 28/29, right behind the Essae Industrial Estate on Begur Road in Bommanahalli. It’s a busy spot, mostly because of all the trucks and lorries moving in and out of the estate. The morning starts early here. I usually unlock the shutters around 9, and the first thing I do is dust off the workbenches. The dust from the road gets everywhere, no matter how much we clean. It’s just how it is in Bommanahalli. People stop by looking for specific tools or just to see if we can help them with a project they’re stuck on. We don’t have fancy air conditioning or a glass front. It’s a real workshop with oil on the floor and the sound of machines humming in the background. Sometimes the power cuts out for a bit, so we sit outside on the plastic chairs until it comes back. You get to know the neighbors after a few years. We share tea from the stall down the road and talk about the traffic on Begur Road, which never seems to get better. It isn't a glamorous life, but it’s honest work. We spend the day measuring things, cutting metal, and making sure the orders are ready for whoever is coming to pick them up. It’s just us here, doing what needs to get done. We don't use fancy computers or big slogans, we just work.
