We’re tucked away on the second floor of the Kota Shopping Complex, right on Brigade Road. It’s a famous street, always full of shoppers and people hanging out, but up here on the second floor, it’s a bit quieter. Heatly & Greshan India Pvt Ltd has been based in this building for some time now. The elevator in the complex is a bit moody and slow, so most of us just take the stairs to save time. Our office is a mix of old wooden desks and stacks of technical manuals that we've collected over the years. We deal with industrial supplies and engineering equipment, which seems a bit odd for a shopping complex, but it works for us. The windows look out over the street, and it’s actually quite nice to watch the crowd during lunch breaks. We have a small pantry where the kettle is always on for tea or coffee. It’s not a corporate headquarters with fancy carpets; it’s just a place where we get our work done. We know the security guards and the other shop owners in the building, and we chat with them in the mornings. Sometimes the hallway gets crowded with deliveries for the other shops, but everyone is used to it. We just do our thing, handle our clients, and try to keep the paperwork from taking over the whole room. It’s a decent place to spend the day working.
