We are based at 59 Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, in the Kala Killa area. H M T International Ltd has been operating from here for a good while. The neighborhood has its own rhythm and we’ve become a part of it. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we handle our international trade and business stuff. There are always boxes coming and going. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the narrow streets around here. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking through piles of paperwork. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. The office has some old chairs and a big table where we sit and figure things out. We don't bother with fancy decor. It's more about getting the shipments out on time. We have a few people working in the office and a few more in the storage area. It’s a bit of a mix of tasks every day. Some days are slow, others are a complete rush. Kala Killa is a place with a lot of history, and we like being situated here. We don't put on airs about being a big international firm. We’re just a group of people making sure things get where they need to go. It’s practical work and we do it as best as we can.
