G.S.S. Girls' School

We are located at 107& on the 69th Cross in the 5th Block of Rajajinagar. This is G.S.S. Girls' School. It is a place that has been around for quite a while now. The building has a lot of character, though it could probably use a fresh coat of paint if we had the time and money for it. Being a girls' school, we have a specific way of doing things. We keep the environment very focused. The rooms are filled with the sound of teachers talking and students answering back. We do not have any high-tech equipment, just the standard stuff like blackboards and benches. The stairs are a bit narrow, so we have to make sure the girls walk carefully when they go between floors. During the breaks, the courtyard gets very loud, but that is the only time it really is. Most of the time, everyone is busy with their work. We do not have a big fancy office for the staff; we just share a room with a few old tables and a lot of registers. We know the families in this part of Rajajinagar well. Many of the mothers went here themselves years ago. It is a simple, straightforward school. We do not make big promises or use fancy words. We just provide a place for these girls to come and get through their studies every day without any fuss. It is a steady, quiet existence for the most part.
