Grindtek

You’ll find us at 11 Peenya Industrial Area, specifically on the 9th 'A' Cross in Ganapathinagar. Being in Peenya means there is always something going on around us. The noise of heavy machinery from the neighboring units is just background music at this point. Grindtek isn’t a huge place, but it’s ours. We spend a lot of time looking at grinding wheels and making sure things are balanced properly. It’s precise work, even if the workshop looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. We have a few older machines that we really like, even if they're a bit temperamental on cold Monday mornings. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal dust, no matter how many times we sweep it during the week. Lunch is usually a quick affair because there’s always another job waiting to be finished. We get a lot of people dropping by from other units nearby just to see how things are going or to ask for a favor. The Ganapathinagar area is full of small shops like ours, so we all kind of know each other’s faces. It’s a lot of hard work, especially when the deadlines are tight, but we get it done. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anyone to answer the phones in a suit. It’s just us in our work shirts. When the lights go off at the end of the day, we’re usually pretty tired, but the work is finished.
