Greenberg International School

If you head out on Kannenahalli Road in Bellavi, you will eventually come across Greenberg International School. It’s located a bit away from the main congestion of the town, so there is more space and a little less noise than you might find elsewhere. The school consists of several different blocks that are connected by paved paths. The grass in the yard grows quite fast, especially after it rains, and we have to keep on top of it. The classrooms are bright because the windows are fairly large, which is nice for the students when they are working at their desks. We have the usual setup of chairs and tables, and the walls have some old maps and posters pinned up on them. The staff room is usually a bit cluttered with tea cups and stacks of notebooks that need to be checked by the teachers. At the end of the school day, the buses line up along Kannenahalli Road to take the students back to their various neighborhoods. It is a slow process to get everyone on the right bus and moved out. When the place is empty in the late afternoon, you can hear the birds in the nearby trees. It isn't a fancy place with a lot of modern bells and whistles. We just focus on the teaching and the daily routine of running a school in Bellavi.
