The dental college is right by the old fort in Bangalore. It's a very busy part of the city with a lot of history around it. You have the hospital traffic and the regular city crowds all mixing together outside the gates. Inside, the hallways are usually full of students in their white coats rushing between classes or the clinics. The building is quite old and has that specific smell of a medical place, like disinfectant and clean floors. Patients wait on long benches in the lobby for their turn to see a doctor. It can get a bit chaotic in the mornings when the registrations start. We have these large windows that look out toward the street, but the noise of the horns always leaks in. The research part of the institute is a bit quieter, tucked away in the back area. Our labs have a lot of equipment that we have to maintain every single day. The canteen is where everyone goes to get a quick tea or coffee between sessions. It’s not a quiet or fancy place, but it stays busy from morning until the evening. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so most people just take the stairs to save time. It’s a lot of work running a place this size in the heart of Bengaluru, but the routine stays the same.
