Goorg Driving School

Running Goorg Driving School means we spend a lot of time in cars, obviously. Bangalore roads are a great place to learn because if you can drive here, you can drive anywhere. We started this school because we noticed people needed a patient hand when getting behind the wheel for the first time. Our office in Banashankari is small, mostly just a place to keep the keys and the registration forms. We don't have any flashy signs or anything. Most of our day is spent sitting in the passenger seat, watching the mirrors, and hoping the student doesn’t stall in the middle of a busy junction. It’s Karnataka, so it gets hot, and the traffic is always there, but we make it work. We’ve taught all sorts of people, from teenagers to older folks who finally decided to learn. The name Goorg is what we’ve used from the start. It’s a local business, through and through. We don't have a huge fleet, just a few reliable cars that have seen a lot of miles. Every day is different depending on who is in the driver's seat. It’s a lot of repeat routes around the neighborhood, but it’s honest work.
