Our shop is over at 2 Wilson Garden on the HSR Main Road, right across from the Indian Bank in Siddapura. It’s a spot where there’s always something going on outside. We mostly deal with signs and lettering. If you walk inside, you’ll see scraps of acrylic and bits of wiring scattered around the worktables. It isn't the cleanest place because we’re always cutting things or soldering LEDs together. We’ve been making these glow signs for local shops and businesses for years. Sometimes the colors don't match exactly what someone had in their head, so we spend time trying to get the right shade of vinyl or the right brightness in the tubes. It’s a lot of manual work, bending frames and making sure the electronics won’t short out when it rains. The traffic on the main road is pretty loud, but we’re used to it by now. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit before we can finish a weld or a cut. We aren't a giant factory; it’s just a few of us here trying to get the orders done before the sun goes down. People drop by with sketches on napkins and we try to turn those into something that looks okay on a storefront. It’s a practical business. We use what we have and try to make things that last a while against the weather and the dust of the city. It’s just how we get things done here.
