Gitam Singh Higher Secondary School is tucked into Green Glen Layout-Bellandur. Our address is No.87/2 and the area has changed a lot over the years. Bangalore is much busier now than it used to be. You can hear the traffic from the main roads, but inside the school walls, it is mostly the sound of children and teachers. We have students coming from all around Bellandur and nearby parts of Bangalore. The school building is simple. We do not have any big fancy glass walls or anything like that. It is just a place where learning happens. The layout is 560103. Sometimes the water tankers pass by, or you see the IT workers heading to their offices nearby while our students are heading to class. It is a mix of the old and the new around here. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the building stays in one piece. The hallways are narrow and can get a bit loud during lunchtime. There are some trees nearby that give a bit of shade. Gitam Singh Higher Secondary School has been part of this neighborhood for a while. We know the local shops and the people who live in the apartments close to No.87/2. It is not a corporate office, just a school for higher secondary kids. We keep the gate shut during the day to keep things safe. That is how it is.
