Gerb Vibration Control Systems is based in the Peenya Industrial Area, specifically at 27-A in the 2nd Phase. We’ve been in this part of Bangalore for quite a while now. Our main focus is on dealing with vibration issues in big machinery and buildings. It sounds complicated, but mostly it involves installing specialized springs and dampers to stop things from shaking too much. We spend a lot of time looking at heavy foundations and industrial setups. The office here in Peenya is where we do the planning and math, but most of our actual work happens out at various sites where the big machines are. It’s a busy industrial zone, so we are surrounded by other workshops and factories. We are a small team here, even though we deal with some pretty big projects around the country. We don't have a big corporate feel; it's more about the engineering and the practical side of vibration control. Sometimes we have to go out and take measurements when a machine is causing problems for the neighbors or the building itself. It’s a lot of technical troubleshooting. We’ve stayed in Peenya because it’s where our customers are and it’s convenient for shipping our systems. Most people find us because they have a specific problem with their equipment that needs fixing. We don't do much in the way of sales pitches. We just look at the vibrations and figure out how to stop them using our systems.
