Gati Ltd is situated at No.210/A/1 in Madiwala, right on Hosur Main Road. If you know Bangalore, you know Madiwala is the heart of the transport industry here. There are buses and trucks everywhere, all the time. Our office is right in the thick of it. We deal with a lot of heavy lifting and big shipments. It’s a dusty, noisy area, but it’s perfect for what we do. We spend most of our time tracking vehicles and making sure the loading happens on time. The office isn't much more than a functional space with some chairs and a few terminals. We don't have any shiny brochures or corporate slogans on the walls. It’s just us, the drivers, and the loaders. We talk a lot of shop and try to keep everything on schedule. Hosur Road is always a challenge with the traffic jams, so we have to be realistic about timings. We don't promise things we can't do. We just tell people the status of their stuff. It’s a rough-and-ready kind of environment. We work long hours sometimes because the trucks don't stop. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the labels stay on the boxes. We just keep our heads down and do our jobs. It’s how we’ve always operated in this part of Madiwala.
