Ganesh Walvekar

These BDA Quarters have been around for a long time. They are solid buildings but they show their age. Domlur is a great area because it’s close to everything, but this specific part is tucked away from the main Indiranagar rush. We work out of one of these quarters. It’s a small space, typical of the B Type units. We have a couple of desks squeezed in there. It’s a bit of a tight fit if more than two people are working at once. The surroundings are actually quite green with some old trees around the blocks. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, except for when the garbage truck comes by or people are moving their scooters. We have been here for a while and the routine is very fixed. We arrive, do the work, and head out. We don't have a sign outside so it just looks like any other residence in the block. It’s a very low-key operation. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps if the weather is nice. Bangalore weather is usually good for that. It is just a practical place to get things done without the high costs of a fancy office in the city center.
