About Gairatganj Government Higher Secondary School – Education in Bengaluru
Our school is in Ramamurthy Nagar, specifically at No.36 on Balaji Street. The building is called Nanda Gokulam. It is a government higher secondary school, so we get a lot of students from the surrounding local neighborhoods like Yerranapalya. The street is usually busy in the morning with parents dropping off their kids on scooters. We have a decent amount of space, but it always feels full once the bell rings. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but the classrooms are functional. We spend most of our time dealing with the government syllabus and the administrative work that comes with it. There is always a form to fill out or a report to send. The teachers here are hardworking people who care about the kids. We have a lot of different subjects to cover, and sometimes the days feel very long. In the afternoons, when the sun is hitting the windows, it can get a bit warm inside. We do not have any air conditioning, just the ceiling fans. We keep things straightforward. No one is trying to impress anyone here. We are just here to provide an education to the kids who need it. It is a noisy, busy, and sometimes messy place, but it is our school and we are here every day from morning until late afternoon. We manage the crowds and the noise without too much fuss because that is the job for us.
