You can find us at No.18 on D R Lane, just off Silver Jubilee Park Road. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know how packed and chaotic it gets on a daily basis. There are people everywhere and delivery bikes squeezed into every little corner of the alley. Our shop is full of power tools and all kinds of hardware for building stuff. We’ve got drills, saws, and boxes of screws stacked up right to the ceiling. It’s hard to move around the aisles sometimes because we try to keep so much inventory in stock. People come in looking for a very specific part, and we usually know exactly which pile it’s hidden in. We don't use a computer for everything; sometimes just looking at the shelf is faster than typing it in. The noise from the main road is constant, with horns and shouting. We’ve been here long enough that we don't even notice the noise anymore. It’s a family-run kind of thing. My brother and I are usually the ones behind the counter. We don't wear any uniforms or fancy badges. We just wear whatever is comfortable for moving heavy boxes around the shop. Customers are mostly local contractors or guys who are fixing things at home. They want a tool that works and they want it at a fair price without any haggling. We don't do fancy displays. If it's a tool, it's just out there for you to look at.
