G L Industries & Calibration Centre

BTM Layout 2nd Stage is a busy place, especially around the Iron Market area. Our workshop, G L Industries & Calibration Centre, is at No 12/62. Finding us is pretty straightforward if you look for the 2nd Cross near PM Kalyana Mantapa. That wedding hall is a big landmark, so people rarely get lost. Inside our space, it’s mostly about machines and tools. Calibration is precise work, so we spend a lot of time focusing on the numbers and the equipment. It can get a bit loud with the traffic and the market nearby, but we are used to it by now. The 12/62 address is where all the heavy lifting happens. We have various instruments laid out on benches. There’s always a bit of grease or dust around, which is normal for an industrial spot like this. We don’t spend much time on decorations. The walls are plain, and the floor is concrete. It’s a place for working, not for showing off. Being near the Iron Market means there’s always something moving on the street. We see trucks and carts going by all day. It’s a grit-and-grind type of environment. We just do our job and make sure the tools are right. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know. We’ve been in BTM for a long time. There is a lot of dust from the iron shops, but we keep our heads down.
