G K Vale

G K Vale is located at No. 206 in Brigade Garden, which is right on 19 Church Street. Church Street is one of those places that’s always got something going on, with people walking by at all hours. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now. Our space is mostly dedicated to photography and related work. It’s got that old-school feel to it, even with the newer equipment we use. We have a lot of frames on the walls and cameras sitting around. It’s not a sterile environment; it feels lived-in and busy. We spend our time taking photos, editing them, or helping people choose how they want their prints to look. There’s a lot of history in a place like this, but we don't spend much time talking about it. We’re usually too busy with the day-to-day tasks of running a studio. The light in the shop is always a bit specific because of the work we do. Sometimes we have to deal with the crowds on Church Street just to get into the building, but it’s part of the charm of being in the heart of the city. We don’t use any fancy marketing talk. We just show up, take the photos, and try to make sure they turn out okay. It’s a simple, honest business in a very famous part of Bangalore where we just keep doing what we know.
