Our workshop is at number 54, just off the 3rd Cross in the 1st Stage of Peenya Industrial Estate. Peenya is a massive place. It’s easy to get lost, but we’re tucked away in a spot that works well for us. At Futura Automation, we spend our days building machines and putting together components for other factories. It’s a lot of hands-on work. We have grease on our hands most of the time. The sound of drills is pretty constant. We started out small and just kept adding more equipment as we went along. The layout of the shop is a bit cramped because we keep buying new lathes and milling machines. We don't have a marketing department. We just do the work and let the results speak. Bangalore rain sometimes floods the road outside, but we just keep working inside. Most of our guys have been here for years. They can fix just about anything with a motor. We have our tea breaks at the same time every day. That’s when we talk about the work or the cricket scores. It’s a straightforward environment. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big sign or a shiny lobby. We just want to make sure the automation systems we build don't break down when they get to the customer. It is tough work but it is what we know how to do well.
