Friends Motor Parts

Our shop is over in Yeshwanthpur, tucked away on the 2nd Cross of Triveni Road. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we have so many boxes and parts stacked up on the shelves. Stock ranges from tiny screws to larger engine components. It’s hard to keep track of it all sometimes, but most things are eventually found. The shop is at number 80/43, and it's been our home for a long time. People come here when they can’t find a specific part elsewhere. Most of our day is spent looking through catalogs or checking the back room. It’s often oily and the air smells like rubber and metal. We aren't big on fancy displays; the focus is just on having what's needed for bikes or cars. The neighborhood is pretty loud with all the workshops nearby. Mechanics come in all the time, wiped out from their own jobs, looking for a quick replacement. We try to help them out as best as we can. Sometimes parts are out of stock and waiting for the next delivery is the only option. We don't use much technology here, mostly just paper receipts and a lot of memory. This is a simple way of doing business that seems to work. A small group of friends runs the place, and after all these years, identifying a part by feel is second nature.
