Victoria Hospital

Victoria Hospital has been near City Market for a long time now. It is one of those places that everyone in the city knows about. The location is incredibly busy because the market is right there, so there is always a sea of people, vehicles, and noise outside our gates. The building itself has a lot of history and you can see it in the walls and the high ceilings. It is not like those new private clinics that look like shopping malls. This is a real hospital with a lot of grit and a massive number of patients coming through every single day. We are constantly on our feet, moving between wards and departments. The wards are often full and the corridors are packed. It is a noisy, bustling environment where things are always happening. The staff here is used to the pace, though it can be overwhelming for someone new. We do not have fancy waiting rooms with soft music. It is just rows of benches and people waiting for their turn. Most of us have worked here for years and we know the shortcuts through the buildings. We just try to manage the load and help as many people as we can. It is a big, old, complicated place, but it serves the city in a way few other spots do. We just keep showing up and doing the work as best as we can every single day.
