First Guide Academy

You can find us on the first floor of building number 62 in the Each Layout area, specifically on the 3rd Main Road. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you get there, it is just a bunch of rooms with desks and chairs. We started First Guide Academy because we wanted a place where local students could come and sit down to study. The walls are mostly covered with maps or old schedules. It is not a fancy school with a big campus; it is just a few rooms where we go over lessons. In the evenings, the place gets quite loud with the sound of kids talking and the traffic from the 94 bus route or the 3rd Main Road. We have some whiteboards that are a bit stained from use and the floor shows the marks of many feet. We don't have a big reception desk or people in suits. Usually, it is just a couple of us managing the classes and talking to parents who drop by. Sometimes we run out of chalk or the markers go dry, and we have to run out to the shop downstairs. It is a simple place for learning without any of the extra bells and whistles. We just focus on the books and the students who come to us in Each Layout Second Phase. It is a bit cramped sometimes, but we make it work.
