Express Cargo Carriers

You can find us over at No.B-20, right across from Kanteerava Studio in Yeshwanthpur. We’re located inside the Devaraj Urs Truck Terminal Ltd, so it’s trucks as far as you can see. Express Cargo Carriers has been operating from this unit for quite a while now. The studio across the road sometimes has film shoots going on, which brings a bit of excitement to the otherwise dusty road. Yeshwanthpur is always buzzing, especially with the market nearby and all the commercial vehicles coming in from the highway. Being in the truck terminal means we are right in the thick of the transport world. The office is basically a hub for drivers and workers. It’s not the quietest place to work, what with the constant honking and the sound of heavy engines idling. We have a simple setup with a few benches and a big desk for the ledger. Most of the day is spent checking manifests and talking to the loaders. It’s a practical environment. We don’t have fancy air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that works overtime in the summer. People drop in all the time to ask about rates or delivery times. It’s a very hands-on kind of job. We like being near the studio because it’s a good landmark for people who aren't familiar with the terminal layout. It's a busy spot but we've made it our own over the years. We just keep going.
