Exide Battary Store

We run the Exide Battary Store at Banneraghatta Road, specifically in Jawahar Nagar Society 91/A. It is a small shop, but we keep it well-stocked. Most people come in when they are having a bad day because their car won't start or their inverter died at home. We try to help them out as quickly as we can. The shelves are heavy with lead-acid batteries and chargers. It can get a bit greasy or dusty in here, but that is just how it is when you are dealing with car parts. We have a couple of stools where customers can sit while we test their old battery. Usually, we can tell if it is dead just by looking at the terminal corrosion. We do not try to sell people stuff they do not need. If a simple charge will fix it, we tell them. The shop gets a lot of afternoon sun, so it stays pretty warm. We keep a fan going and usually have a radio playing in the background. My nephew helps out on the weekends when it gets busy. We have been in Jawahar Nagar for a few years, so the neighbors all know us. It is a decent living. We are not trying to be the biggest store in the city. We just want to be the place people trust when they are stuck in a pinch. It is honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning until we lock up.
