Evershine Lubricants

We are down in Nagarathpet, specifically at 21 KAS Lane Cross. If you know the area, you know how tight these streets are. It’s one of the oldest parts of the city, and it’s always packed with people and carts moving goods around. Our shop is small and filled to the ceiling with cans and barrels of oil and grease. We’ve been here for a long time, and the walls have soaked up that distinct smell of lubricants over the decades. It’s a busy place. We spend a lot of time fetching specific grades of oil for mechanics or factory owners who send their guys over. There’s no space for a fancy display, so everything is just stacked where it fits. We usually have a radio playing in the background, though you can barely hear it over the noise of the street outside. Dealing with the deliveries is the hardest part because the trucks can’t get into the lane, so we have to move everything by hand or on small trolleys. It’s a lot of physical work, and our clothes usually end up with a few stains by the end of the shift. We know the other shopkeepers on the lane well, and we often share tea during the slow patches in the afternoon. It’s just a basic shop in a crowded market, doing exactly what we’ve always done for years now.
