Esic Model Hospital

People in Rajajinagar know where we are because of the big gates and the constant stream of people coming in and out. It’s a bit of a landmark in this part of town, I guess. Inside, the walls are that standard pale color you find in most public buildings. We’ve got the OPD section that gets really crowded on Mondays. It’s just the way the week starts. Most of us have been working here for years, so we know the regular patients who come for their monthly checkups or to refill their prescriptions. Sometimes the computers go slow, and we have to do things the old-fashioned way with pens and big ledgers. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everyone’s records. The doctors are usually in a hurry, moving from one bed to the next. You hear the sound of trolleys clicking on the floor tiles and the distant murmur of the waiting area. It’s a practical sort of place. There’s no soft music playing or anything like that, just the sounds of a busy hospital. We deal with whatever comes through the door, whether it’s a minor scrape or something that needs a longer stay. It’s not always easy, especially when the heat gets bad in the afternoon, but the water cooler stays busy. It’s just our daily routine here, keeping the place running for the community around us.
