This section of M S Ramaiah Hospital focuses on endocrine issues for patients. We are located inside the main hospital grounds here in Bangalore. It can get a bit confusing for new people to find exactly which wing we are in. Usually, if you ask at the front reception, they can point you in the right direction without much trouble. The hospital is a very large place, so there are always crowds of people moving through the hallways. We see patients for all kinds of hormone-related problems every day. Being in a city like Bangalore means we get people coming in from all the different neighborhoods. Sometimes the wait times are quite long because of how many people the hospital handles. We try our best to manage the queue but it is a lot of work. Our staff is kept quite busy from the moment we open. Since this is a teaching hospital, you will probably see a lot of medical students walking around in their white coats. It is not a quiet or peaceful place by any means, as there is always some noise or activity happening nearby. We just do our specific job in the endocrinology department. Most of the people who come to see us were sent by their own doctors for specialized testing that requires certain equipment. The building is functional and set up to deal with a high volume of patients. We do not have fancy rugs or art on the walls, it is just a hospital.
