Being located at Shed B in the KSSIDC Industrial Estate means we are right in the thick of things in Rajajinagar. Elvee Springs Pvt Ltd has been operating out of 88/45/2 for quite some time now. If you’re coming from the West of Chord Road, you know how the traffic can get around here, especially when the rain starts. The shed itself is pretty simple. It’s got high ceilings and enough space for the spring-making machines to run without us tripping over each other. Making springs is a weird kind of business because you’re constantly dealing with tension and wire that wants to go its own way. We spend a lot of time adjusting the tension and watching the coils come off the line. It’s repetitive, but you have to pay attention or things go wrong fast. The floor is usually covered in little bits of cut wire and the grease we use to keep everything moving smoothly. We don't really do much besides the work itself. There isn’t a lobby or a receptionist, usually just one of us wiping our hands on a rag to go answer the door if someone knocks. Rajajinagar is a good place for this kind of setup because everything we need is nearby. We just open the gates early, turn on the lights, and start the machines up. It’s a plain way to make a living, but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and watch the wires turn into springs.
