Dsr-Senator (Overseas Shipping)

Up on the 12th floor of Mittal Towers on M.G. Road, that’s where you’ll find our office. It’s in the A Wing, number 1208. Being that high up gives you a decent view of the city, but mostly we are just looking at computer screens all day. Overseas shipping involves a lot of different time zones, so someone is usually here early in the morning or staying late into the evening to talk to people across the ocean. The elevators in this building can be a bit slow during the lunch rush, which is always annoying when you're in a hurry. We have a lot of files everywhere. Shipping schedules, customs forms, port receipts—it just piles up on every flat surface we have. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, you just walk in and one of us looks up from a stack of papers. M.G. Road is always loud and crowded, so the office feels like a bit of a hideout from the street. We deal with the big stuff that goes on ships. It takes a long time and there are always delays we can't control, but we just keep tracking the containers. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake for the late-night calls to the ports. It’s just a standard shipping office trying to keep things moving. It’s not fancy or polished, just a lot of logistics and staying on top of the small details so things don't go wrong.
