Dr Shankar Ashwini Homoeo Clinic

We are located on Dr. D V Gundappa Road in Basavanagudi. It’s a famous road in Bangalore, known for its old trees and busy shops. Our clinic is tucked in among them. Being a homoeo clinic, we have lots of small glass bottles and jars filled with those little white pills. The smell of the clinic is quite distinct, mostly just clean and a bit like the medicines we keep. Dr Shankar and Ashwini handle the patients who come in. Basavanagudi has a lot of history, and some of the people coming here have lived in the area their whole lives. They tell us stories about how the road used to look years ago. The clinic isn't very big, so it can feel a bit crowded when four or five people are waiting at once. We have a small desk where we bottle the medicines and write down the instructions. It’s a very hands-on process. We don't have a computerized calling system; we just call out the next person's name. The windows look out onto the street, so you can see the people going to the temple or the market while you wait. We like being in this part of town because it feels like a community. Most of our day is spent listening to people talk about their health and then figuring out which remedy fits them. It’s quiet work, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening. We just do our best to help everyone.
