District Hospital

Being located right near the Kolar Bus Stand means we see a whole lot of people coming in from the surrounding villages every day. It’s a very accessible spot for anyone who is traveling by bus, which makes it a busy hub. The hospital is usually humming with activity from the early hours of the morning. You can hear the buses pulling in and out of the stand while we do our work inside. We have a variety of rooms for patients and a small area where families can sit and wait for news. It’s not the most modern building in the world, but it serves its purpose well enough. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the furniture is definitely a bit older, but it all works for what we need. Our team is used to the fast pace and the noise. We have nurses who know how to handle the big crowds and doctors who are always on the move from one room to the next. Sometimes the supply delivery is a little late, or we run out of chairs in the lobby, but we always figure it out. People trust us because we’ve been here in Kolar for a long time. It’s a straightforward place with no nonsense. We deal with fevers, injuries, and all the usual health issues people face. There is a lot of noise from the street, but once you’re inside the wards, things settle down.
