Dinesh Provision Stores

Our store is right here in Byatarayanapura, on the 2nd Main 2nd Cross of the VHBCS Layout. The house number is 104. It is a small provision store, the kind you see on every corner, but this one is ours. We sell the usual things like rice, dal, soap, and some snacks for the kids. I wake up early to get the milk packets ready before the sun is even up. People come in through the day for things they forgot to buy at the big market. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. It is a quiet life, mostly just weighing out sugar or stacking tins on the shelves. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. They do not mind much. We have had this shop for years, and the neighborhood has grown up around us. There used to be more empty lots, but now it is all houses. My wife helps me in the evenings when it gets a bit busier with people coming home from work. We do not have fancy scanners or a computer, just a calculator and a notebook to keep track of things. It is a bit cramped in here with all the bags of grain on the floor, but we make it work. If you need something for dinner or just a packet of biscuits, we are usually here until the late evening.
