Running Dega Plastic Machinery Pvt. Ltd. out of Peenya 2nd Stage is quite an experience. We are tucked away in the Raghavendra Industrial Estate at 19/20, right off Thigalarapalya Main Road. This part of town is always buzzing with noise from machines and trucks, which suits us just fine. We deal with plastic machinery, which is a lot more complicated than it sounds to someone walking by. Our day usually starts early, getting the workshop ready and checking on the assembly work. There’s always a bit of grease on someone’s hands here. We aren't a big corporate office with glass walls; it’s more about the metal and the mechanics of the machines we build and fix. The roads around here can be a bit rough, but customers still find their way to us when they need a machine that won't quit on them. We take a lot of pride in just being able to figure out a mechanical problem that has someone else stumped. It’s a lot of trial and error sometimes, but that’s the nature of working with big equipment. We’ve stayed in this spot because it’s close to the heart of the industrial action. You won't find us wearing suits very often. We’re usually in the back making sure everything is aligned properly before it gets shipped out to a factory somewhere else. It is hard work but we wouldn't want to be doing anything else right now.
