Deepblue Foundation

Deepblue Foundation is situated at 352 in the Nagendra Block, right on the 10th Main Road of Banashankari 1st Stage. This is one of those older, established parts of Bangalore that has a lot of character. Our office reflects that, I think. It’s not a modern glass building; it’s a sturdy place that’s seen a lot of years. Inside, we have our workspace set up with the basics. There are books on the shelves and various folders stacked on the desks. We spend our days coordinating our projects and talking to folks who are involved with the foundation. The 10th Main can get a bit busy with local traffic, but the Nagendra Block area itself has a nice, residential feel to it. We often see the same people walking their dogs or heading to the local shops while we are coming and going. It makes us feel like we belong to the area. The work we do involves a lot of steady effort and attention to detail, so having a stable, quiet-ish place to sit and think is important. We don’t have any fancy mission statements on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a few photos from the team. It’s a comfortable spot where we can put in a good day’s work and then head home to our families in the evening. We keep it simple because that’s what works best for the small group of us here.
