Dayananda Sagar College Of Management & Info Tech is located up in the Shavige Malleswra Hills area of Kumaraswamy Lyt, right in J P Nagar. It is a bit of a hike to get up here, especially when the weather is hot, but we have been in this spot for a long time. The management and info tech departments take up most of the space. You will usually see groups of students hanging out on the steps or near the main gate between their classes. It is a pretty lively place, though it gets a bit quiet during the exam months. We don't have everything looking like a magazine cover. The walls have some marks and the chairs in the common area are a bit worn out from all the use. We focus mostly on the day-to-day running of the place, making sure the labs are open and the teachers have their markers. The staff room is where we spend most of our time when we aren't in class, usually complaining about the traffic or planning the next week's schedule. It is a regular college atmosphere without any of that fancy talk you see in brochures. We just do our best to keep things moving and help the kids get through their degrees. The hill gives us a nice bit of a breeze in the evenings which helps after a long day of work. We often have to deal with the usual issues of an older building, like a flickering light.
