Daiwik Printing Solutions is tucked away on 5Th 'C' Cross in M.R.Garden, V.Nagenahalli. It’s a busy spot near R.T.Nagar Post where we spend most of our daylight hours. The shop floor is usually covered in paper scraps and the smell of fresh ink stays in the air even after we lock up. It isn't a fancy place with glass walls or expensive coffee machines. We have a few sturdy desks and the machines hum all day long. Sometimes the power flickers but we just get back to it. Neighbors drop by to say hello while we're working on a stack of cards or some flyers. It gets a bit loud when everything is running at once, so you have to raise your voice to be heard over the clicking. We’ve been here at G-05 for a while now and know the local faces well. The street outside can get crowded with delivery bikes and people heading to the post office. We keep a stash of pens that always seem to go missing and the calendar on the wall is usually a month behind. It’s just how things go here. We handle the files people bring in on thumb drives and try to get the colors to look right on the page. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to sweep up the dust and reorganize the paper rolls. It’s honest work that keeps us on our feet from morning until the sun goes down. It isn't much, but it's what we do.
