Our place is situated around 1 Malleshwaram, right near the stretch by the 100 ft rind rd. It is part of the BTM layout 2ndstage area, specifically the 1stphase. It’s a busy area, especially during the peak hours when the cars are backed up and everyone is honking. Inside the shop, things are usually a bit cluttered. We have samples and pieces of art leaning against the walls. It’s not a showroom where everything is perfect and polished. There’s usually some sawdust on the floor or the smell of paint in the air. I spend my time checking on orders and making sure we have enough materials. The 1st phase of this layout is quite lived-in. People walk their dogs past our door in the evenings. We’ve been at this 1 Malleshwaram spot for some time now. The light comes in really strongly in the mornings, making the art pieces look different than they do at night. I like the chaos of it. It feels real. Sometimes a client comes in and we just talk about what might work for their house while we move things around to find space to sit. It isn’t a high-end gallery where you’re afraid to touch anything. It’s a workspace. My coffee mug is usually sitting on a pile of blueprints. We just do what we do at Crystal Interiors Exteriors & Art, day in and day out, and try to keep up with the projects that come our way.
