About Command Hospital Airforce – Medical & Healthcare in Bengaluru
At the Command Hospital Airforce in Agram Post Agaram, we spend a lot of our time walking back and forth between the different wings. It’s a large compound, and my shoes definitely show the wear and tear from all those steps. The hallways have a very specific smell, a mix of floor wax and old paper, which is something you just associate with being at work. We have large windows in some of the wards, but the offices are a bit more tucked away. The security guards at the Agram post gate usually give us a nod when we come in for the morning shift. We deal with a lot of people who are looking for the right department, and we’ve gotten pretty good at giving directions even when the signs are a bit confusing. There are some potted plants near the main desk that we try to water, but they’re a bit spindly from the lack of sunlight. Everything here is built to be practical and lasting. We have heavy wooden desks that probably take four people to move. Our routine is pretty set, from the first cup of tea to the final filing of the day. Sometimes the power flickers for a second, but the backup generators kick in pretty fast. It’s a busy environment, but we’ve got a good system going. We don't have any fancy mission statements on the walls, just a calendar and a list of phone numbers. It’s a real place for real work.
