About Command Hospital Airforce – Medical & Healthcare in Bengaluru
Being stationed at Command Hospital Airforce over by Po Agram Agaram is a steady kind of life. The building is solid and has been around for plenty of years, and you can tell by the way the doors sometimes stick in the rainy season. We have walls painted a pale, nondescript color that we’ve all stopped seeing. There is a clock hanging in the main corridor that is always exactly three minutes fast, but we’ve decided to leave it that way because it helps people stay on schedule. The staff here is a tight-knit group, mostly because we’ve all been through the same busy days together. We spend a lot of time with manila folders and blue pens that always seem to run out of ink at the wrong moment. Agaram has a busy feel to it once you step outside the gates, with all the local shops and people moving about. Inside, we try to keep things quiet, though you can often hear the distant sound of engines. We take our breaks in a small room with a window that looks out onto a brick wall. It’s not much of a view, but it’s a quiet spot to eat a sandwich. We have an old fan that wobbles on its stand, creating a little breeze for whoever is sitting nearby. It’s a functional place, built for work rather than show. We just keep things running as best we can every day.
