About Command Hospital Air Force – Medical & Healthcare in Bengaluru
Down in the Department of Radiology at Command Hospital Air Force near Post Agram, things have a rhythm of their own. The rooms are kept a bit cooler because of all the imaging equipment we use. There is a constant low hum from the machines that you eventually stop noticing altogether. We spend a lot of our time in rooms with dimmed lights so we can see the screens better, which can make you a bit sleepy by the time the afternoon rolls around. The floors are covered in that old speckled linoleum that’s easy to clean but doesn't look like much. We have a small corner where we keep our bags and a few spare lightbulbs. Sometimes the printer jams right when we have a stack of results to get through, and we all take turns trying to fix it without making it worse. The walk from the main gate to the Agram post area is a bit long, especially when it’s humid outside. We see a lot of nervous faces coming through the doors, so we try to keep the atmosphere calm. There’s a water cooler that makes a loud glugging noise every time someone takes a drink, which usually makes someone laugh. We keep our schedules on a big whiteboard that has some permanent marker stains from years ago. It’s just a regular basement office where we work through the day. We aren't here for the decor, just to get the images done correctly.
