Our college is part of Dayananda Sagar University. We are located up on Shavige Malleswara Hills in Kumaraswamy Layout. Bangalore is a very big city, but being up on the hills makes it feel a bit different. The 560078 area has a lot of steep roads. We focus on journalism and mass communication. We have a few rooms with computers and some cameras for the students to use. It’s not a very formal place. Most of us wear casual clothes and just get on with the day. The campus is shared with many other departments, so it’s always crowded. We don't have a polished corporate look. There are posters taped to the walls and stacks of newspapers everywhere. It’s a bit messy, but that’s how journalism should be, I think. We spend a lot of time talking about what’s happening in the world. The canteen is the heart of the place where everyone shares stories. We don't use any fancy marketing language. We’re just a bunch of people who like telling stories. The weather in Bangalore is usually nice, so we spend time outside on the steps. It’s a lot of hard work, but we don't make a big deal out of it. We just keep doing what we do every day without any fuss. Sometimes we stay late into the night working on various student projects.
