Our place is at No. 39, Konappana Agrahara, which is right near Electronic City Phase II on Hosur Road. The traffic around here is usually pretty bad, but we’ve gotten used to the commute. Cobra Carbide Pvt. Ltd. has been around this area for quite some time. We spend most of our hours working with carbide tools and machinery. The shop floor stays busy and it gets a bit noisy with the grinding and cutting going on. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. Most of us are in work clothes that end up dirty by lunchtime. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights out front. It’s just a regular building where we get things done. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just part of being in this part of town. We handle a lot of different orders, some small and some pretty big. We just take them as they come. There isn’t a lot of talk about strategy or vision statements here. We just look at the drawings, set the machines, and start the work. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. If you come by, you’ll probably find us checking the edges of the tools or loading up a delivery truck. It is just basic manufacturing.
