Coastal Engineers

Coastal Engineers is set up at No. 29 in the BDA Commercial Complex, right on 100 Ft Road in Indiranagar. This area is pretty much the hub of everything in this part of town, so there is never a quiet moment. Being in a BDA complex means the building has that specific government-built feel to it—lots of concrete and busy corridors. Our office is where we do all the planning and number-crunching for our engineering projects. It’s full of rolled-up blueprints, old folders, and a couple of computers that have definitely seen better days. We spend a lot of time looking at site plans or talking to contractors on our mobiles. The team is small, and we’ve mostly worked together for years, so we don’t need a lot of formal meetings. We just get on with it. The traffic on 100 Ft Road is a nightmare during peak hours, so we usually end up staying late or arriving really early to avoid the worst of it. We aren't the kind of firm that has a fancy lobby with a fountain. We’re more about the actual site work and making sure the structures we’re involved with are built right. It’s a lot of practical problem-solving and dealing with the realities of construction in a fast-growing city. We just try to keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way, without all the corporate talk.
