Clinic For Chronic Disease is based in Ulsoor at number 10 in the Subbaiah Reddy Block. The location is quite specific—we are right next to the petrol bunk and just after the Adarsha Theatre. Ulsoor is one of the older parts of Bangalore and it stays very busy. The noise from the main road and the theatre crowd is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. Our clinic focuses on long-term health issues, so we see many of the same people month after month. It creates a bit of a bond between the staff and the patients. The building we are in is simple and doesn't have any modern glass walls or anything like that. It’s a practical space with a waiting area and consultation rooms. We spend a lot of time talking to people about their daily habits and how they are feeling. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in tracking chronic conditions, so our desks are usually covered in folders. The petrol bunk next door is a good landmark for people who are coming to visit us for the first time. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything runs correctly every day. It’s a steady kind of work, and we appreciate the people who trust us with their health. We’re just a small clinic in a busy corner of Ulsoor doing our thing.
