Chitra Die Makers

Our workshop is over at 783 on the Peenya Santej Khatrej Road, right in Santej Village. Being near TVS Cross makes it fairly simple to give directions to anyone coming by. It’s a dusty area sometimes, but it’s where the work happens for Chitra Die Makers. We spend our time making dies, which is a lot of precise cutting and grinding. You won't find much in the way of air conditioning or soft chairs here. It’s a real shop environment with the smell of metal and oil in the air most of the time. We grew up around these kinds of machines, so the noise doesn't bother us much anymore. We just put our ear protection on and get to it. Some days are long, especially when a particular piece of metal is being stubborn. We don't mind the hard work though. It’s satisfying to see a finished die ready to go after hours of shaping it. The village of Santej is a good place for a business like ours because people understand what it means to work with your hands. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People mostly hear about us from word of mouth or seeing our sign near the road. We just try to stay busy and make sure the tools we produce are solid. It is a long day usually, but we like it that way. We've been at this road for a long time.
