Chandana Precision Works

If you’re looking for us, we are over at 45/1 Begur Road. It’s near the Masjid in Bommanahalli, which is usually a very crowded part of town. Our workshop, Chandana Precision Works, is tucked away there. We do a lot of small-scale machining and part making. Precision work sounds fancy, but it really just means spending hours staring at a lathe or a milling machine making sure things are within a fraction of a millimeter. It’s quiet work in some ways but very repetitive. The street outside is always buzzing with bikes and people heading to the mosque or the local shops. We have been in this location for a few years now, and the neighbors know us well. Inside, the floor is always a bit oily, no matter how much we sweep it. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone to write professional brochures. It’s just me and a few workers trying to keep the machines running and the customers satisfied. Sometimes we get a rush of orders and stay late, other times it’s just the steady rhythm of the daily schedule. The power goes out once in a while, which is a pain, but we manage. We like being in Bommanahalli because everything we need is right here. It’s a practical space for practical work, and we don't try to make it seem like more than it is.
