Chamundeshwari Clinic

Chamundeshwari Clinic is right on Bazaar Street in Chamarajpet, which is one of the busiest parts of the city. You can hear the vegetable sellers shouting and the horns of the delivery trucks all day long. The clinic is in an older building with high ceilings and thick walls that help keep things a bit cooler than the street outside. We have a heavy wooden door that creaks when you open it, and the floor is made of old stone that’s been worn smooth by years of people walking over it. We don’t do much advertising because the bazaar itself brings in plenty of folks. People stop in after they finish their shopping or on their way to the bus stop. We’ve got a small waiting area with wooden benches that aren't the most comfortable, but they’ve been there forever. My father used to say that a clinic should be a place where people feel at home, even if they’re feeling sick. We keep things pretty straightforward here. There’s a sink in the corner where we wash up, and a few cabinets for our supplies. The light coming in through the front window is usually filtered by the dust and the shadows of the shoppers outside. It’s a lively place to work, and there’s never a dull moment when you’re situated right in the middle of a market like Chamarajpet on Bazaar Street.
