We’re tucked away in Vasantapur, over in the BSK 5th Stage area of Bangalore. Our place is on 6th B Main in the Maruti Layout. It’s a residential-feeling neighborhood that’s been growing quite a bit over the last few years. Ceracon Ceramix is where we handle various ceramic and construction-related items for the local builders. Bangalore is always under construction somewhere, so there’s usually someone looking for new materials. We aren't in one of those huge, shiny tech parks; we’re just in a regular building in a layout where we actually know our neighbors. The office gets a bit cramped sometimes when we have too many samples lying around on the floor, but it just shows we’re busy. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with different sites across the city. The traffic in Bangalore is always a major topic of conversation here, especially when we’re waiting for a delivery truck to finally arrive. We don’t have a polished showroom with bright lights and music. It’s more of a working space where we get things done and talk to customers in a normal, human way. People usually find us through word of mouth or by just being in the neighborhood. We try to be helpful and give straight answers about what we have and what it’s going to cost. It’s just a small team of us working hard to keep the business moving in this busy city.
