Our place is at 462 Yeshwantpur, right below the Govardhan Theatre in the complex there. It’s a well-known landmark in this part of Bangalore, so we don't usually have to give people too many directions. Being located under a cinema is a bit unusual, but it works well for us. We deal with industrial tools, specifically Carboloy products and other cutting equipment for factories. The shop is mostly storage and a small counter where we talk to customers. It’s often busy outside with people coming for the movies or visiting the nearby market, but inside we are focused on tool specs and orders. We’ve got stacks of catalogues and drawers full of different grades of metal-cutting inserts. Our team has been doing this for a long time, so we know which tool works best for different types of steel or aluminum. We aren't interested in making the place look like a high-end boutique. It’s a tool shop, and it definitely looks like one. There’s usually some dust on the boxes and the smell of metal in the air. We keep regular hours and see a lot of the same faces week after week. It’s a decent spot to work from, and having the theatre right above us means there’s always something happening nearby. We just stay focused on our inventory and making sure the local workshops get what they need to keep their machines running. We just take things one day at a time.
