Our place is on Magadi Road, specifically in Vidyaranya Nagar. If you know Bangalore, you know this road can get pretty packed with traffic at all hours. Our workshop is tucked in there at 215/2A. We work on road technology stuff, so there’s always some engineering talk going on. It’s a mix of an office and a garage feel. We’ve got some desks for the technical drawings and a lot of floor space for the actual machinery. It’s noisy because of the traffic outside and the work inside, but you get used to it after a while. The staff here is mostly people who have been around machines their whole lives. We don’t have a lot of decorations on the walls, just some calendars and maybe a map of the city. We’re not trying to impress anyone with a shiny office. We just want to make sure the equipment we send out is working right. People come in to discuss project specs or to check on an order. We usually have a lot of iron and steel parts sitting around. It gets a bit cramped when a big order is being put together. We just work through the day, have our lunch breaks together, and deal with the challenges as they come. It’s a practical business on a busy street, and that’s pretty much the whole story of our daily life here. We just focus on the machines and the people who use them.
